Copy-editing, content consulting, communications work

As evidenced by my prolific writing career, I have a knack for writing. Now that’s only half a joke, because I feel very confident in telling you that I am quite nearly gifted in my communication skills. While I worked briefly as a college application consultant for a sketch company, I would much rather work directly with individuals so I can tailor my services to your needs.

Need help drafting emails? Truly my favorite activity. It may not be something you’re interested in paying for, but what about a series of emails in an integrated communication plan? I got you.

My specialty is in mid-length, first person narrative essays. That could be a contribution to a literary magazine (or in one case, the Blue Ridge Mountain Magazine) or a statement essay for school admissions, honors committees, or recruiters. It’s my very favorite thing and I can do this work quickly and professionally.

What sets my work apart from other copyeditors is that my skillset is in crafting for cohesion. I’m not going to sell you on editing sentence by sentence because a lot of people could do that. I look at the big picture of a piece and the big picture of a person. As a narrative specialist in my own writing, I know how to start with a compelling opener, build meaningful stories, and end with a strong conclusion.

Submitting an entire application? Great! I will be able to provide guidance about how to best use all your essay questions so that schools get your whole story in which you are the triumphant victor of your own narrative!

Email me below for inquiries. For a 1000 word piece (~2 hours of work) I would charge around $60 depending on item. Other lengths and pieces will vary off that base price.
